The Loop is a set of Lunar tunnels that extend far to the north-west, typically B or C scale tunnels rather than the full A scale. The area’s rich in natural resources and air generation capacity, and the settlements attract the more curious or eccentric colonists. It’s not dangerous, for furries take pains to be a peaceful lot, but it can be disconcerting: cultural norms around The Loop can vary in startling fashion.
The Loop is the northern portion of The West, a very long circuit of smaller tunnels with settlements off them. The Loop is known for the peculiar societies that occupy its thousands of miles of tunnel. It is far less social than Oceanus, and contains thousands of miles of now-useless heavy spacecraft infrastructure. It’s connected to Oceanus by the Cavalerius-Hevelius tunnel, and access to Central is from Archimedes to Rima Hadley.
